WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY

What to expect on the day?

C3 is presented to you by John Calabro (pictured), founder of Traralgon based brand design agency, The View From Here, and co-founder of Gippslandia Magazine and supported by Latrobe City Council’s Business Development team, as part of the 2024 business festival. The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Strengthening Regional Growth Through Connections’.

C3 has been designed to dive deep into the theme of connections, and has largely been informed by John’s own rewarding experiences as a small business owner who has broadened his own horizons through associations with a range of business networking and advisory groups around Melbourne.

C3 aims to keep you interested throughout the day, featuring a series of short and sharp, introductory ‘taster’ talks by a mix of business leaders and networking groups. The day will allow for lots of breaks and plenty of time to mingle between sessions, and will be punctuated by two keynote speeches — the first by Gippsland entrepreneurial success story, Andy McCarthy, the second by one of the most powerful forces of positivity that you are ever likely to come across, Victor Perton, CEO and Chief Optimism Officer at The Centre for Optimism.

Seats are strictly limited, GET YOUR TICKETS now. Below is a short summary of what to expect in each session.

KNOWLEDGE CONNECT

10.00AM—11.00AM

Hear from four vastly diverse subject matter experts who bring a fresh perspective on a range of topics which may not be typically be well represented in the usual business networking settings around Gippsland and Latrobe Valley.

  • The Solutionist Group

Jon has worked for several decades with ordinary families doing extra ordinary things to hold their families and their businesses together across generations.

His starting point is that “Family Business“, as a rational concept, makes no sense — unless you make a lot of things right in both your family and your business.

He’s codified the dos and don’ts, including the all-import issue of succession planning, to help make the process of generational transition, and the maintenance of local ownership of family businesses, less of a mystery and more of a practical process

  • The Haystack Group

Haystack Group is a leading Australian grant and consultancy firm who assist business with specialist services in all aspects of grants, project management, and consultancy.

Chris will be delivering an overview of Research & Development Grants and why they may be right for your business.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
VICTOR PERTON

Victor Perton is the Founder and Chief Optimism Officer of The Centre for Optimism and carries with him some serious cred.

Victor also grew up the child of a widow, and the grandchild of men and women who had been persecuted and tortured by the Soviets in Latvia and Lithuania. Despite all of this, Victor is an optimist and he says he comes from four generations of radically hopeful people.

His presence is enthralling, his presentation, game changing. Do not miss this special chance to have an audience with a human of such tremendous presence and stature.

Victor wants to know — what makes you optimistic? Follow this link to let Victor know in the lead up to C3.
